Overview :

Tanta University is one of the best medical university located in Tanta, Egypt. It was established in 1962. It is acknowledged as one of the best Medical Colleges in Egypt. Tanta University Faculty of Medicine is officially managed by President Mahmoud Zaki and Medical Faculty Dean Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim led a dynamic team of excellent academic staff and over 132788 students which comprise of 11% PG students and 89% UG students. Moreover, the most probable analysis of the previous year’s classroom is about 3644 students with females 44% occupancy.

The huge Tanta University was first started in 1962 with the faculty of Medicine only. Later, it made many developments and became an independent University named the University of Middle Delta in 1972 which gives a full range of academic specialties in areas of Medicine, Science, Agriculture, and Education. The Middle Delta named was changed to Tanta University in 1973.

Admission Process :

  • To get into Tanta University- Faculty of Medicine, a student must have appeared NEET exam.
  • Students securing 50 % of marks in all 3 subjects in NEET are prerequisite
  • Subjects prerequisite to get into Tanta University- Faculty of Medicine are BIOLOGY, PHYSICS, and CHEMISTRY.
  • To apply for an application, first register on the website with your details for starting the admission process.
  • After documents get verified and approved, an admission letter will be emailed within 7 days, and submit original documents within 15 days.
  • An approval letter gets issued from Ministry and an invitation letter by the university with an accommodation letter.
  • After following these procedures, they must deposit tuition fees to Tanta University- Faculty of Medicine’s bank account to complete the whole admission process.

Eligibility Criteria :

Admission Test is conducted by Director General of Health Services centrally and it is supervised strictly.
Some major highlights are:-

  • The students seeking to apply should be 17 years of age or above by 31st July and less than 25 years old.
  • Students should have cleared 10th and 12th securing marks more than 75% or 7 GPA.
  • Qualifying NEET exam is an essential criterion for admission.
  • Applicants have to go under gross medical examination as students having physical, mental, and refractory disorders can’t be admitted.
