Overview :

North East Medical College is a prestigious Private Medical College located in South Surma Pamila, on the southern fringes of Sylhet, Bangladesh. It was established in 1998. It is acknowledged as the best Medical College in Sylhet and one of the eminent medical colleges in Bangladesh.

The academic campus of the college covers around 6 acres in the South Surma region. The campus of North East Medical College was built in 1999 and soon in 2002, an 800-bedded multi-specialty hospital was built. The development of several notable institutions like North East Cancer Hospital and North East Medical College Dental Unit has spiked the growth of the College exponentially. They believe in quality education which will take students on a ride to the structured and hard-core education system that is an essential component for a bright career both in National and International Medical careers.

Affiliation & Recognition :

• North East Medical College is affiliated with Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) under the School of Medical Science s and Sylhet Medical University (SMU).
• The College is recognized by all medical councils including WHO, BMDC, Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS), etc.
• Some International Medical Organizations has also recognized this brilliant College like European Medical Association (EMA), UK and Higher Learning Accreditation Consultation & Training (HLACT), UK

Duration :

The college offers a five-year program approved by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) and the National Medical Council (NMC) that leads to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Dhaka University. There is an optional one-year internship after passing the final professional examination, which you can do in India as well.
